Service Delivery Model

Scio's delivery model enables us to deliver outsourced IT services seamlessly and help to achieve superior business results for our customers. The model is designed to ensure that each of the resources working on a project is placed at the most advantageous location at every step of the project.

Depending on the size and technical requirements of a project, our consultants will work:

  • On-Site: at the client site
  • Off-Site: at a site close to the client
  • Nearshore: at our Development Center in Mexico

The diagram below shows where tasks are usually performed in a nearshore outsourcing project:

The activities typically performed on-site are those that require a close interaction with the client team and the final users of a system, such as:

  • Requirements gathering
  • Architectural design
  • Client reviews
  • Acceptance testing
  • Training
  • Implementation support

Some projects benefit from an off-site location, although this is not common. This arrangement helps provide improved coordination and communication, and allows a greater degree of cultural integration between teams. Activities that are typically performed at the off-site location are:

  • Project management
  • Task allocation to resources at the Development Center
  • Coordination and control of project components

The bulk of the technical work is typically performed at our nearshore Development Center including:

  • Analysis, design, development, and testing
  • Project management of allocated project deliverables
  • Disaster recovery, back-ups, and system redundancy
  • Application maintenance and support

Scio provides a full-range of services to support your IT needs, from providing resources to temporarily augment your team to full outsourcing of IT functions; and we provide increased value in direct relationship with the depth of our involvement.
